The indoor pool was very nice, especially
During rainy weather. The location was convenient, with a bus stop right outside and a short walk into downtown St Gilgen. The dining experience could use some improvements, as the breakfast staff was not very engaging.

great experience but with room for improvement
We seemed like we were on a movie set! Everything was beautifully arranged, from our superior room with an excellent lake view to the charming terrace where we enjoyed breakfast. The cute nature of one of the owners, as they took the time to personally show us around the hotel, a nice touch. The walks around the hotel revealed fine mountain views that can't be overlooked.

Charming old style hotel in an excellent location with wonderful panorama views. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly.
B&B guests seem not to receive quite the same standard of service at breakfast in the restaurant as Half or Full Board guests.

Location with the excellent view on the lake and mountains, panoramatic swimming pool, very friendly staff
Reception works only to 10pm, we arrived around midnight and it was difficult to get in. Hotel was fully booked due to the Easter and parking lot was not sufficient. Wifi connection is quite expensive and limited by transfered megabytes (strange in 21st century). There was no minibar in the room (not usual in 4star hotel).

Straight talk, worth it or not?
The location is perfect with easy bus access and a short stroll to downtown. The indoor pool was a delight, especially on rainy days, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Some rooms felt dark and outdated, lacking modern comforts like air conditioning. Consistency in dining service varied, particularly during busy hours which can affect your meal experience.

Maybe needs a little improvement in room decoration.
